Story
He started his career as a mimicry artist in actor Salim Kumar's troupe Cochin Stallions when it was formed in 2000, where he worked for four years. The same year, he made his television debut for Salim Kumar’s Onam special program on Asianet, which became the stepping stone for his long association with Asianet. He went on to do various programmes with Asianet viz. Comedy Show, Cinemala, Five Star Thattukada, and Comedy Cousins.
He met Dharmajan Bolgatty while working in Cinemala and that became a turning point in his life. His popularity got a shot in the arm when he decided to pair up with Dharmajan to form a comedy duo. When the channel Asianet Plus was launched in 2005, Pisharody and Dharmajan co-hosted the comedy show Bluffmasters. The show was a breakthrough in their career and it ran for more than 450 episodes. In 2013, Dharmajan and Pisharody teamed up again for the comedy series Badai Bungalow on Asianet; the show aired for five years.
Ramesh Pisharody started his acting career in 2007 through the Malayalam movie ‘Nasrani’ in a cameo role but got noticed only by his second movie ‘Positive’ in 2008. He slowly established himself as a worthy actor and bagged several roles throughout his film career. Ramesh Pisharody also made waves as a director in his directorial debut in 2018 through the movie ‘Panchavarna Thatha’.
His famous wit and energy have bagged him to take up the role of hosting many award shows and TV programmes. He continues to act in movies and frequently performs on stage as a stand-up comedian as well.
